9/4/24 – Membership – Mike, It’s dry.  Mowed fire lanes around fields.  Removed widow maker branches along fields.  Mowed paths in fields for hunting about a foot tall and the edges at 45-degree angle.  Would like feedback from hunters as they get into fields.  Going to try and finish the push back on field 13 before pheasant season starts.  Won’t start anymore until after hunting season ends.  Culvert in driveway replaced and looks great.  Culvert west of driveway in power line replaced.  Sprayed for briars in most fields.

8/15/24 – Board – Mike, been a busy week.  He and Joe planted 9 food plots.  Mowed around ponds.  Working on field 13 push back currently.  Need to look at hose for air in lower lake.

8/7/24 – Membership – Mike, feeding the deer.  They have browsed off almost all of the food plots.  Going to replant many of them in the coming week.  Reclaiming field space in fields 13, 14 and 16.  If anyone has trail cameras in these fields you may want to move them.  It is very hard to see them on trees as the tractor is grinding them up.  Mike will do his best to keep Facebook updated on the fields he is working next so people can move cameras and any gear.

7/18/24 – Board – Mike, the deer are feasting on the food plots.  They have browsed off about 70% already but they are still doing good.  Working on field 8 and fire breaks around fields.

7/3/24 Membership – Mike, sprayed food plots.  Need to mow fire breaks in fields in the coming week.  A member asked about mowing a strip across fields for deer hunters to get to their stands easier.  The problem with this is when birds are set they would use paths to run away.  It was suggested that those deer hunting walk the fire break paths to their stands.

6/20/24 – Board – Mike, he and James Tucker have been using boom mower along driveway and fields 15 and 8.  Prior to the meeting a group went to field 15 to look at the results.  All members are encouraged to go look at field 15 and the results of Mike and Snip’s efforts.  There was a huge part of the field reclaimed.  This is a slow process but is producing huge benefits.  Mike also reported we need rain for food plots.

6/5/24 – Membership – Mike, food plots planted and certified.  Mike and Joe mowed all the fire lanes in the fields.  Mike mowed around the pond with boom mower.  As soon as dry enough will start using boom mower to reclaim field acreage.  Church is almost done.  Need to get the roof off, let ceiling fall and then will be complete.  Thanks to those that worked hard on last workday to get the inside completely gutted.

5/16/24 – Board – Mike, waiting on fields to dry enough to plant.  Have all the seeds.  Will put beans and corn in most of them and final flush in the other.

5/1/24 – Membership – Mike Hoffman, food plots are plowed, will disc them tomorrow.  Once they are rained on we will get them planted.  Demolition on the church is proceeding well.  Inside walls are down and most of exterior siding.
