It has been eight long years since this club last formally recognized one of our own for their long-term leadership and profound impact. But this past week, that changed. This week, we celebrated someone who has embodied commitment and service to our mission for years.
I’m speaking, of course, about Mr. Don Roberts.
Don’s contributions to this club are vast and varied. Many of you know him from his tireless work on our board, where his guidance helped steer us through crucial decisions. For years, if you enjoyed our sporting clay program, you know that was Don—he ran that program with dedication and excellence, ensuring a phenomenal experience for every participant.
Beyond those duties, Don has been instrumental in the background, offering his time to help run and organize a countless number of club events, always the first to volunteer and the last to leave.
Don’s service hasn’t just been leadership; it’s been the engine of our club’s success. On behalf of the entire membership, we want to thank you, Don, for setting a gold standard for what it means to be an outstanding member.
